The second half year is the most intensive period of D·PES’ overseas promotion. After IPMEX Malaysia in Aug. and Reklama and Sign Istanbul in Sep., D·PES group was bound for Seoul, Korea to attend the 23th Korea International Sign & Design Show (KOSIGN 2015), which was the 4th station of D·PES worldwide promotion.

KOSIGN is helded in COEX every year. COEX is one of the landmark buildings in Seoul's Gangnam area, which is a commercial complex composed of exhibition halls, hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping areas. Because of its special nature, exhibitions held in COEX usually can not do large-scale outdoor advertising. But when you entered the exhibition area, you may easily find the clear show LOGO around the hall.

KOSIGN is one of D·PES’ long-term cooperation overseas partners and it is also the first sign event which obtained UFI certification. The show is jointly organized by Korea International Exhibition Center (COEX), Korea Outdoor Advertising Association (KOAA), and Korea Digital Printing Equipment and Materials Industry Association (KODIPA). Since the beginning of 1993, KOSIGN has entered its 23th year in 2015. With an exhibition area of 10,368 sqm and 150 exhibitors, KOSIGN 2015 was held on Oct. 14-17 in COEX, Seoul.

At 10:00 am of Oct. 14th , KOSIGN’s opening ceremony was held at the entrance of HALL A. Over 30 guests from Korean and overseas sign associations and famous enterprises were invited to attend the event, including President of Korea Outdoor Advertising Association, Chairman of Japan Outdoor Advertising Association, President of Korea Digital Printing Equipment and Materials Industry Association, CEO of DGI, and etc.

KOSIGN required visitors to pre-register in advance, hence only a few people used the form-filling desks which were placed at the entrance. Overseas shows were different from China domestic ones, there were seldom situations of crowded visitors queuing to get badges. Now it was already 11:00 am, but there were still not so many attendants at the registration center. The organizer said normally there would be more visitors in the afternoon.

D·PES representatives sent show brochure to every professional visitor that passed our booth, and gave them a brief introduction about the time, venue and scale of our D·PES Sign & LED Expo China 2016. Most of the Korean visitors knew our show and said they would plan to come to Guangzhou to visit D·PES Sign & LED Expo.

KOSIGN also attracted overseas buyers from Middle East and South East Asia. These visitors all stated that they had paid attention to D·PES Sign Expo for a long time, and it had been one of their must-attending sign shows every year.

There were two main entrances of the exhibition hall, which were occupied by two Korean famous sign equipment manufacturers - DGI and Dilli. Opposite these two companies were the booths of HP and Kostech, Korean agent of mutoh, Graphtec and Seiko. Besides, remarkable exhibitors in KOSIGN 2015 included: Roland, Epson, MS, DTG, Facade Korea, HeadOne, TPM, etc.

We put 7 theme posters and mini luminous LOGO on the booth stand, simple but easily capturing the visitors’ attention

ST Media Group is the most influential sign media in Korea, and this company is one of D·PES main partners as well. It owns two magazines, which are Signmunhwa (in Korean, focusing on Korea market) and Signs of Korea (in English, focusing on global sign industry).

 

 

ST Media set up a close cooperation relationship with D·PES from 2012 and was D·PES Korean agent since that time, in charge of organizing Korean exhibitors and visitors. On the first day of KOSIGN, the managing director of ST Media - Mr. Youseoung Kim came to our booth, had a nice talk with D·PES representative and showed us D·PES advertising page on their magazine.
